Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. On one night, hundreds of churches of different denominations from all over the world will come together to celebrate people with special needs! Please watch our video on this home page to see what a great night we had last year at Emmanuel Church!

Yes! However in the event of snow an email alerting you to the event being cancelled or postponed will be sent out. This website will be updated as well. Please note we can not contact each guest individually, so please watch for emails!
February 9, 2024 from 6-9PM.
In 2015, the first Night to Shine was held in 44 churches in 26 states and in 3 countries with 15,000 volunteers coming together to honor 7,000 guests… and we thought that was a God-sized blessing! This past year God did immeasurably more than we could have asked or imagined, as 622 churches from 36 different denominations in 50 states and 46 countries came together with 215,000 volunteers to serve and celebrate over 75,000 honored guests with special needs! We are so humbled to see what God is doing through this worldwide movement. It is truly amazing to see what happens when you tell 75,000 Kings and Queens of the prom that God LOVES them and has a special plan for their life!
The Tim Tebow Foundation has a great passion for people with special needs. The vision was simple… work with churches around the country to provide an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love for people with special needs, ages 14 and older.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR 2024!
After you register, watch your emails for more information as the event gets closer. Please be sure to respond very thoroughly to all of the questions. Registration will close Jan. 26, 2024.
Then just show up to the event and a volunteer will get you checked in and ready to have fun.
Guests should come as dressed up as they like, it's their prom! It's their night to shine. We love to see our friends in their best dressed!
There will be a parking team to direct you where to drop off your guest if you are not staying or where to park if you are staying.
If you need a handicapped spot, please turn on your flashers when you enter the church parking lot.
You absolutely can drop off your guest! It is EXTREMELY important that you have filled out the guests registration form very thoroughly, disclosing any useful information for us. You may even want to check over their card that they will wear around their neck (their buddy will also have a copy of this as well) with all of the information you put down on the registration form.
If you choose to stay, we will have parent respite room for you to relax and have some dinner while your guest dances the night away with their buddy. If you are going to stay and utilize our parent room, you will need to fill out our Media Rights Release form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSczT2va1_Zwl9mWfhP8apX7jt_xleXxvyuZfIVEmEvBGfPUmA/viewform?usp=sf_link.
You absolutely can! Most parents and caretakers choose to "take the night off" but you can register as a volunteer and be a buddy if you choose. You will need to have a current background check on file as well to serve as a buddy.
Lots of fun, dancing, hair and make up, shoe shining, limo rides, photo booth, dinner, karaoke and a crowning of our kings and queens! Your buddy will be with you for the entire evening.
We are not offering different food choices based on individual dietary needs or preferences. This includes hot food and any food items made available during the evening.
Allergen Warning!!!!!!!!!!
Please be aware that all the food may contain or have come in contact with common allergens, such as but not limited to dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR 2024!
Please watch your email for more information as we get closer to the big event if you are already registered. Online training information coming soon!!
As the date gets closer, we will provide a link to do an online training that will prepare you for the event. Most questions about the evening will be covered there.
We do our best to pair up our guests and buddies based on information provided on the registration forms. Therefore it is extremely important to disclose all medical information and anything we should be aware of for the time the guest is with us. If we have a guest that is medically complex, we do our best to place them with a buddy that has medical training if at all possible.
All volunteers must have current (within the last year) background check on file. Volunteers ages 16-17 do not need background checks.
The minimum age is 16 set by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
Some of the volunteers will be given a t-shirt to wear. Our buddies will have the chance to get dressed up like our friends! It is very important to dress modestly. This is a church event and we want everyone to feel comfortable.
Once you register as a volunteer an email will be sent with directions to obtain one. A $7 fee is required. If you are financially unable to afford this fee, please email us. Volunteers ages 16-17 do not need background checks.
Yes! You get to eat with your guests.
Most likely not until the week of the event. We only need a small number of volunteers to fill roles like registration, attendants, sensory room and respite room so the majority of our volunteers get to be buddies for the night. In year's past we have had to scramble last minute to move people around, so waiting is really the best option we have. We typically have around 150 guests, so that's 150 buddies we need!! This year we have 175 guests. Our biggest number yet!
Please plan to arrive at 5:30PM (unless specifically told otherwise) and you will be directed where to go upon arrival.
Our biggest volunteer need is buddies! Each guest will have a buddy that will spend the entire evening with them. Their main job is to make sure the guest is having fun! There will be a training session required for all volunteers before the event, so you will be well prepared for your role. Please expect to be there the entire event.
Most of our buddies do not need to have any experience working with people with special needs; however, we do need some buddies that do have experience working with the special needs community. If you do have experience, please indicate that on your registration form. Medical professionals will be paired with our medically complex guests to the best of our ability.
We need lots of people to cheer for our guests as they exit the limos and step on to the red carpet! This is a very fun and high energy part of the event, and it is so important for letting our special guests know how important they are!
If you are ONLY doing paparazzi, then you do not require a background check.
